Did you know that online education has its own set of standards? As the online learning space fills up with offerings, it’s time to look at the existing standards and how (or if) programs are using them. In this vlog, we visit with our Dean of Instruction, Lauren Travis, who has been in online education since 2016, and our Director of Operations, Lita Bledsoe who has been in online education since 1999. We discuss how Oaks Christian Online applies the QM, NSQOL standards and other best practices to the program, teachers, and courses and how we are sharing the lessons we’ve learned in the 13 years that OC Online has been in operation working with these organizations and others who are still learning what works, what doesn’t, and what really matters.
